Bruce Adams

Bruce L. Adams, 57, died on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002 in Union Hospital, Union.

The funeral service was held Nov. 23 at the Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, summit followed by a committal service in Somerset Memorial Park.

Born in summit, Mr. Adams lived in Summit for 49 years before moving to Springfield eight years ago. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1970 and was a member of the Tin Can Sailors.

Mr. Adams was employed as a millwright for the Joule Co. in North Plainfield for 10 years.

Preceded in death by his father, Winston Adams, and a brother, Douglas Adams he is survived by his mother Jessie DeToorice of South Carolina; children Jessie Bruce Adams of massachusetts and Tara Artel of Allentown, Pa.; stepchildren Gina and Eric Serio of Springfield, and Brian Gruber of Kenilworth and his financee Patty Firetto; and his siblings, Ellen Hoesley, Beryl Kaiser, Stephen Adams and Mark Adams.

Donations in his memory may be made to the American heart Association.

Bruce and I were in many classe together,  always a stand up guy.....

Louis Di Girolomo, Jr.

I hung out with Bruce in Summit.He was a fun guy to be with.We even managed to get in trouble together.A good friend that I will miss at the reunion.
